Great place to stay, has everything you need. Is a bit off the main roads so stock up with food as nearest shop over 3 miles away.

I've been gere a few times now. The lodge we stayed in this time round was in need of repair outside and the furniture inside was old and dated. No fishing permits either from number 48 so dont book if you want to fish. I would however recommend the pools run by North devon leisure who allowed us to fish. The bailiffs Andy and John were very helpful and friendly thanks guys. Donation on its way !!

No 57 - Beautiful scandi style lodge in the stunning North Devon countryside. Well equipped with cosy surroundings. Close to beaches & loads of things to do for families, couples & individuals. Dog friendly

The location was amazing and other lodges looked amazing. My review does not apply to all the lodges just the one we stayed in. Most of them looked lovely but ours was not. The outside was tired and scruffy not mowed properly or edges trimmed and dead grass left where it was mowed. The lodge is very tired, smelt musty and fusty and was top clean. I could not put anything in the drawers in the bedroom because of it. So not COVID clean. Mum and I cleaned areas with our disinfectant. One toilet seat was broke and one had a bit warn away from saturation from previous customers stays. Towels smelt and were so old, take your own if you go. Quilts did not have protectors on. My dad won't complain about it but not worth the money he paid. It was very well stocked though with a nice welcome basket and we still had a nice break. Stars for area and welcome pack. I repeat again, that this is one lodge only I am talking about, the actual site was beautiful, serene and quiet.

Beautiful location, great family friendly lodges. Isolated and quiet and well kept. Cozy, warm inside with lovely furnishings, decor, and great kitchen and bathroom. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable, though. But, ample towels, sheets and pillows are proved.

Lovely lodge, well appointed, warm, and comfortable. On the down side, it's miles from anywhere (unless you like it that way). The roads would be better described as tracks and there was a need for some simple maintenance that could have prevented spoiling the overall stay.

We stayed in one of the cabins and it was so comfortable and roomy. It's in the middle of nowhere so do a big shop before you settle in. We had views over the lake. We saw huge deer it was breath taking. We stayed at no 60. Highly recommended. This is a photo of one of the cabins not the one we stayed in but they are all identical. 👍
